The Revolutionary A3 Magico Speakers – Impossible Sound for Incredible Value
The New Magico A3 speakers combine all of our favourite Magico technologies with unheard-of and revolutionary hifi innovations. Magico are known to be constantly pushing for new, exotic materials, technologies and ideas, so we weren’t surprised when they announced that the Magico A3 speakers feature a fully braced and anodized aluminium enclosure, beryllium tweeter and their famed elliptical crossover.
Although the Magico A3 speakers use some of the latest and greatest hifi technologies and designs, they are the most attainable level of full-range speaker at only £12,000. Comparable speakers could cost up to £30-40,000, yet the new CNC process combined with other innovative design and material decisions keeps the A3 speakers at a keener price than others in the line. Nevertheless, these speakers still use the same 0.5-inch thick 6068 T6 aluminium plates as the more pricey Q-series and feature a beryllium tweeter, carbon nanographene cones, neodymium based motor systems and a 28mm dome tweeter.
The dynamic capabilities of these speakers, particularly due to the latest gen damping technology Magico have developed, are fantastic. The high frequencies come from the newly designed Magico pure beryllium-diaphragm tweeter, whilst the 6-inch midrange frequency driver sports a multi-wall carbon fibre cone with a layer of XG Nanographene, ensuring optimal stiffness to weight ratios and an ideal damping factor. The low frequency driver is optimised for minimal distortion and acoustical impact, through vibration reduction modes and maximised airflow. Altogether, the drivers’ acoustical, mechanical, electromagnetic and thermal behaviour has been deeply considered, explored and developed for optimum musical performance.
